Cellist Eric Alterman presents an immersive journey into Bach’s first three cello suites. These extraordinary works were the first in history to reveal the expressive capabilities of the cello, and they include some of Bach’s most joyful and somber music. There will be a presentation of the history of the suites and the musical form of these Baroque dances, followed by a complete performance.
